Climate & Weather
Kenya is a tropical country home to an awe-inspiring range of landscapes, varying from dry savannahs to mountains, desert and coast. Temperatures are consistently warm throughout the year, with country averages of 25℃ to 33℃.
However, January and February are generally considered to be the hottest months with dry conditions. Meanwhile, June to September is generally cooler. Kenya has 2 dry seasons and 2 wet seasons.
Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit on our Kenya tours comes down to preference. This is a year-round destination, and each season has its own reason for visiting. For your best chance of witnessing the Great Migration, July to November is the annual timeframe and most popular time of year for safaris.
Kenya enjoys 2 dry seasons, lasting from June to October, and January to February. Meanwhile, the 2 wet seasons (March to May; November to December) can be a favourable option for budget travellers. December is especially popular, as it’s your best chance of spotting newborn animals and for birdwatching.
Customs & Culture
Kenya is a warm and welcoming country, renowned for its cultural diversity and home to 68 languages. English and Swahili are the official languages. Some cultural customs include dressing modestly and greeting people with a smile and a handshake.
